Glyphwood
The Heartwood, the great tree that holds the Glyphwood Academy, glowing at dusk

Glyphwood Academy · for homeschool families

Where learning
takes root.

Storybook quests, a lodge to belong to, and an AI co-teacher for parents. In Glyphwood, every glyph a child earns makes the woods a little brighter.

The story of Glyphwood

An old and gentle forest, where learning leaves a mark.

Whenever someone truly understands something new, a glyph appears: a small glowing symbol pressed into bark, stone or the pages of their Field Journal. At the heart of the forest stands the Academy, built in and around an ancient tree called the Heartwood.

Some corners of the woods have gone dim, quiet and overgrown, waiting to be relit. Our young Wayfinders set out on quests to bring the light back, one glyph at a time.

How Glyphwood works

Quests & Field Journals

Storybook workbooks written by teachers, starting with simple subjects. Each one works on its own, and each one unlocks bonus quests and glyphs in the Glyphwood app.

Lodges & the Lantern Cup

Every Wayfinder chooses a lodge. Finished quests and kind deeds earn lodge points, and each season one lodge lifts the Lantern Cup.

The Steward’s Desk

An AI co-teacher for parents. Turn one lesson into versions for every age at your table, rework plans when life happens, and keep your records in order.

The four lodges

Every lodge walks every path.

Lodges are families, not subjects. An Owl can love math, and a Bear can love poetry. Their banners hang side by side in the Academy hall.

For parents

You’re the teacher. We’re the extra pair of hands.

Glyphwood is built by a homeschooling family of teachers who know the kitchen-table reality: three ages, one lesson, and a week that never goes to plan.

The Steward’s Desk

The Steward’s Desk is a wise old writing desk full of drawers that always seem to hold what you need.

  • One lesson, every age. Adapt a single topic for your 6-year-old, 9-year-old and 12-year-old in a minute.
  • Plans that bend. Sick week? Field trip? Rework the month without starting over.
  • Records, handled. Progress notes and portfolio pages ready when your state asks.
  • Fits every family. A neutral, wonder-filled curriculum that sits alongside your own values.
  • Built with state education funds in mind. We’re designing Glyphwood to work with the curriculum programs many states now offer homeschool families.

The Wayfinder’s Promise

I will ask what I wonder, try when it’s hard, and help light the way for others.
